Our Story

The Love of Christ Community Church (TLC) is a daughter church of Germantown Baptist. We were originally challenged by their pastor and leadership to consider starting a new work in the summer of 2001.

After more than 6 months of prayer, God allowed us to take the first step, where we launched the a Sunday Night Bible Study, which met at Hope Presbyterian Church. Not only did Hope graciously offer the use of their facility, they invested guidance, training, personnel, prayer, and financial support.

God continued to bring together the people and resources which allowed us to launch our first Sunday morning service  on September the 8th of 2002.

The experience of being nurtured by two local churches from two different denominations confirmed that God desired for TLC to exist without any particular denominational connection.

Today, we continue to exist as an interdenominational community driven by the mission of God’s Kingdom.

Tomorrow and beyond – we want to change the world by loving people and doing whatever it takes to expose them to Jesus.
