Our Core Values
Seek, Serve and Share Jesus Christ
Seek Him
- We believe that God has revealed himself most clearly and indisputably through His Word.
The Bible, as illumined by the Holy Spirit, serves as our final authority, source of comfort
and guide for Holy living. Therefore, we are committed to the clear, prayerful, persistent, and Spirit led teaching of God's Holy Word.
Practical expression We are a teaching church, offering a variety of in-depth Bible studies.
- We believe that we were made for the worship of our Creator. Not only is our reverence and awe deserved by Him,
but also our worship and adoration is essential to our spiritual health and growth. Furthermore, we believe that
an environment that is created by means of quality, culturally relevant music is an excellent and Biblical vehicle for
facilitating and guiding His children in His loving and respectful adoration.
Practical expression Our worship is expressed through contemporary music.
- We believe that prayer is essential for our personal success and spiritual vitality both individually and corporately. We, therefore,
commit ourselves to being a people dedicated to prayer for each other, our neighbors and for the entirety our troubled world.
Practical expression We organize a variety of meetings, both large and small, with prayer as the only agenda.
Serve Him
- As a Church, we are blessed to be his children and privileged to be His servants. It is by means of His grace,
through the Holy Spirit, that we are empowered to advance the Kingdom of God. However, it is for our benefit that we are allowed to serve him.
It is by the humble and faithful service of God that we are able to fully reach our potential in Christ.
Practical expression Our goal as a church is to engage 100% of our membership in a meaningful service project or ministry.
There are a variety of service opportunities available.
- We believe that our God is the creative author of everything beautiful. Likewise, all of His children have been providentially endowed with
talents and supernaturally empowered with gifts. We are called by the Divine Artist to use these endowments to accomplish his purpose for each of us
individually and collectively as a Church.
Practical expression We value art, drama, music etc. and regard all talent as a gift from God that
should be used and celebrated in the church.
- It is our goal to become a blessing to our neighbors regardless of spiritual condition, race, political affiliation, religion, denomination, age,
or social position.
Practical expression We are not interested in proselytizing members from other churches. Nor do we expect
people to "clean themselves up” spiritually before they are welcome to worship with us.
Share Him
- In obedience to the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 we will seek to make disciples for Christ. Following the geographic model given in Acts 1:7
we will use our resources of every kind to share Christ and make His beauty clear and understandable, to our community, Nation and the World.
Practical expression We believe in making a long-term commitment to each willing believer. Our goal is to
teach 100 percent of our membership how to become mature reproducing disciples of Christ. Thus, a variety of discipleship classes are available.
- We believe that no one is beyond the saving grace of God. We, therefore, commit ourselves to sacrificially devoting ourselves to sharing Jesus with
the loveable, those celebrated and those forgotten, the old and the especially the young by every biblical, thoughtful and wise means available to us.
Practical expression We are willing
to try new "out of the box" ways to
reach our culture for Christ. Furthermore, we
recognize that most people that trust Christ do
so before the age of 21. Therefore, children's
ministry. student ministry, and evangelism are
a TLC priority, requiring as much of our time
and financial resources as our adult ministries.
